My place in the space

Every wellness brand has an origin story. Mine has a hospital in it, so I'll tell it straight.

How this started

I'm Kimber — a mom on Long Island, in hemp wellness since 2018. This company was born in the worst year of my life: my child was in the ICU, and our house was drowning in the kind of anxiety and broken sleep that a family health crisis brings everyone in the building, not just the patient.

I went looking for gentle things that might help us, and I found an industry that wasn't built for households like mine. Nearly everything ran on MCT — coconut oil — or nut-derived carriers, and we are a strictly nut-free home. What wasn't an allergen problem was a measuring problem: droppers, milligram math, "start with approximately…" Approximately is not a word you use about your child. So I did the stubborn thing: I made what I couldn't buy. Safflower-based, single-serving, pre-dosed CBD — allergen-safe, no measuring, no stress, and absolutely no THC. First for my own family. Then for the other families who kept asking.

Where I learned the craft

Before and alongside Chime & Chill, I worked in a medical dispensary — years of standing across a counter from people on the hardest days of their lives, learning what they actually need from this plant and from the person selling it. That experience is baked into everything here: the budtender training track, the clinician transparency page, the obsession with COAs, and the rule that we educate rather than claim. It's also why I still teach classes in person and know so many of my customers by name. I'm a single operator, woman-owned, BIPOC — when you email high@chimeandchill.com, it's me.

What the company stands on

• Zero THC, non-detect — everything, always. Including the vape. Verified per batch by a NYS third-party lab. It's why we ship to all 50 states and why pharmacies can carry us.
• Allergen-safe. Safflower base; nut-free, coconut-free. Non-negotiable since day one, because day one was my kitchen.
• Pre-dosed, every serving. Fear of taking too much keeps more people from this plant than anything else. We engineered that fear out of the product.
• Education over claims. This entire site — free, for everyone, including competitors' budtenders, honestly.
• Human. Most people who use hemp wellness do it in stigma. Our job is to be the room where they don't have to.

In 2024, Chime & Chill was recognized at the EMJAYS International Cannabis Awards in the CBD-Hemp Brand category — which felt less like an award for a company and more like one for a kitchen table that refused to give up.
